PHYLLIS WEISS HASEROT
Phyllis Weiss Haserot is the President of PRACTICE
DEVELOPMENT COUNSEL, a business development consulting and coaching
firm established in 1983. She works with firms on professional development
training and coaching, inter-generational relations, retention and lateral
integration, strategic marketing planning, client relationship management,
implementing flexibility, collaborative culture and workplace conflict
resolution. Her primary focus currently is improving relations among
the four generations in the workplace,
As a workplace coach, Phyllis is an influence strategist
and personal behavioral style expert. She has been coaching attorneys,
directors, and managers for over 10 years on business development, navigating
firm political whitewater, getting approval for new practice niches
and strategic planning initiatives, and establishing new marketing programs.
A frequent speaker and facilitator, she has written numerous articles
and chapters of her book, "THE RAINMAKING MACHINE" (Thomson/West),
on coaching, influence, workplace flexibility and professional development.
Phyllis uses identification and analysis of personal styles - behavioral,
communication, natural preferences, and work expectations - to enhance
firms' and individuals' effectiveness and remove barriers to performing
at their best.
She has developed the *Next Generation, Next Destination* program to
achieve advance transitioning planning to benefit both senior partners
and the professional growth of younger partners as well as their firms
overall.
Among her affiliations and board positions: Co-founder and Board of
Directors of the New York Metropolitan LMA (Legal Marketing Association)
chapter; LMA; the American Bar Association Law Practice Management Section,
Work-Life Excellence Task Force; International Association of Coaches
(IAC); New York City Midtown Coaching Center; co-founder of American
Marketing Association/NY, Professional Services Marketing Leadership
Council; President's Council of Cornell Women; Chair of The Leadership
Connection; Executive Committee of the Legal Resources Group, and The
Accountants Forum. Over the years, she has served on the Board of Directors
of several not-for-profit and professional organizations.
Phyllis received both B.A. and M.R.P. degrees and a Certificate
in Dispute Resolution from Cornell University and has additional credentials
in marketing, real estate, workplace conflict resolution, coaching and
law.
