UNDERSTANDING AND RESOLVING INTER-GENERATIONAL TENSIONS

Objective: To deal with differences in work and life objectives and styles among the three (and soon four) generations in the workplace for greater productivity and retention.

Take it as a given that Generations X and Y have different work and life objectives from the generation before them and from each other. Your organization needs them all and needs to have them working smoothly together - respecting their diversity and learning from each other.

This program includes:

    • A briefing on the characteristics of each generation and the general tension points between them;
    • The dangers of neglecting their differences and needs;
    • Strategies and tactics for getting the younger generations to appreciate maturity and judgment, and for more senior people to respect and recognize fresh ideas and new ways of doing things;
    • Strategies for resolving conflicts and building trust and collaborations on the diverse strengths.
